Philisani NGO started Home Based Care HIV/AIDS and TB and other chronic diseases where 33 Community Health workers provided care and support for the community under Inkosi Dube and Mkhwanazi tribal authorities. Philisani NGO was few of the organisations offering these services and extended the hand of the Department of Health. Twenty two of the community workers were taken over by the Department of Health and put on persal,10 of this community workers with matric certificates were sent for training and career pathed to auxiliary nurses.
