
Gender Based Violence dialogues
Presidents Ramaphosa declared GBVF as a pandemic, in response to this call, Soul City Institute (SCI) funded Philisani to render GBVF prevention sessions and dialogues to provide the community with a platform to share their experiences and ways to combat this pandemic.

Skills development project
The organisation offers different skills for the youth of Esikhaleni, namely baking, catering, Security training, beadwork training and learners licenses. These programs are funded by Solidarity fund and DSD.

Cooked meals and homework assistance project
The project is funded by DSD, children from disadvantaged backgrounds are identified to benefit from this project. Through this nutrition program we are able to alleviate poverty in the identified children. The children are also taught soft skills like hygiene and socially accepted behaviour.

School uniform distribution
Once a year, needy children are identified from local schools and from the community to benefit from school uniform distribution. The project is funded by DSD. 25 children benefit each year. We partner with different stakeholders in this programme to Re-install the dignity of a child.

Social behaviour change programme (SBC)
SBC is an umbrella programme with a number of projects under it. Namely You Only Live Once (YOLO), Chommy and family matters. The programme is funded by the Department of Social Development. These projects are implemented in schools and out of school and in the community of Esikhaleni under uMhlathuze municipality.

Community awareness
The organisation observes national calendar days aimed at commemorating different days. The organisation uses these days to create awareness in the community by inviting relevant stakeholders to come and educate the community about different topics. E.g. GBV, World Aids Day, Youth day etc.
Adolescence Girls and Young Women (AGYW) and Adolescence Boys and Young Men (ABYM)
This project is funded by Aids Foundation of South Africa (AFSA). The project caters for the youth between the ages of 15- 24 as they are identified as one of the key populations in the HIV/AIDS prevention, care and support projects. The project ensures that they are kept in school until they complete and are protected from HIV, STIs and social ills. Platforms where youth sit in a relaxed environment where they feel free to share their experiences and are helped by professionals in the organisation, Social Worker, Auxiliary Child and Youth Care Worker, Community development practitioner.
